Accountability - Healthcare's Missing Link?

Accountability: so simple a concept that it's been part of our daily lives since we were kids. Think about it: we either are, or have been, accountable for our behavior, finances, or achievements to all kinds of other parties in our lives from parents, to teachers, to employers...to the IRS! Yet, somehow, accountability for delivering patient satisfaction - the reason we all exist - often slips through the cracks.
